Customer Returns (Using VAT Cash Accounting)

 

1.   From the main Sage Line 50 desktop, click Customers

2.   Click Invoice.

The Batch Customer Invoices appears.

3.   Post an invoice to the Mispostings account with the original net and tax amount.

Posting this ædummyÆ invoice increases the balance on the customer's record by the value of the cheque.

4.   From the Bank Accounts window select the bank account you require then click Payment.

5.   Post a bank payment to the Mispostings account with the original net and tax amount.

When you save this payment, the balance of this bank account is amended accordingly.

You have now recorded the returned cheque in Sage Line 50.
